FLEXPANDIT fire protection seal

Flexpandit is a flexible, self-adhesive, fire-resistant intumescent tape. The tape consists of a special "intumescent" composition based on expandable graphite, which is applied to a self-adhesive backing. It does not contain any volatile or hazardous substances. Under normal conditions, the tape is an inert, solid, flexible material that is resistant to common climatic influences, especially moisture. It retains its flexibility in the temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.

When exposed to fire, the substance contained in the tape expands to at least 10 times its original size. The microporous layer that forms during the expansion prevents any penetration of flames and hot smoke gases.

It is used to seal doors, gates, sliding walls, partitions, flaps, etc., where, in the event of a fire, it expands under the influence of heat, sealing the joints and thus preventing the passage of flames and smoke and preventing the spread of fire.
